Accessibility
Our aim
We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text and stronger contrast. We treat accessibility as part of building the site, not as an afterthought.
What is in place
- Keyboard navigation. Menus, filters, galleries and the contact form can be reached and operated without a mouse.
- Text alternatives. Product and gallery images carry descriptive text so their content is announced by a screen reader.
- Readable contrast. The site uses a dark palette with light text chosen for legibility rather than for effect alone.
- Scalable layout. Pages are built with relative sizing, so browser zoom and larger default font sizes do not break the layout.
- Meaningful structure. Headings follow a logical order and page regions are marked up so assistive technology can skip between them.
- Language marking. English and German pages declare their language, so screen readers use the correct pronunciation.
- No forced motion or sound. Nothing on the site plays audio automatically or moves in a way that cannot be avoided.
Known limitations
We are honest about where the site is not yet ideal:
- Some product galleries contain a large number of photographs; moving through all of them by keyboard takes many key presses.
- A few technical specification tables are wide and require horizontal scrolling on small screens.
- Some older images carry short alternative text that describes the subject but not every visual detail.
These are on our list to improve.
